Dare Yori Mo Mama o Aisu

[Excerpt from Daily Yomiuri, July 14, Wm. Penn, Televiews]: Sunday: Dare Yori Mo Mama o Aisu (9 p.m., TBS network) features Masakazu Tamura as a mild-mannered househusband. Have you ever noticed that no matter what role Tamura plays, he is first and foremost always Masakazu Tamura? He never completely losses himself in the character. If you like him, you will no doubt enjoy this series too. One star for the star. The rest of the week, I was enthralled with the first fifteen minutes of all the dramas. Then, they all devolved into silliness. By the 35-minute point, I didn't care what happened to any of the protagonists.
