[Excerpt from jampop network]: Popular manga series from the 70's Ace wo Nerae (Aim for the Ace!) by famed manga author Yamamoto Sumika will make its way to the small screen as a live action TV series. Ace no Nerae is about a tennis prodigy named Oka Hiromi who falls in love with her coach Munakata Jin. However, Jin eventually dies and asks his friend Katsura to take his place as Hiromi's coach.

The tale of Ace wo Nerae has been a hit among young readers for many years. Several anime series has been mae in the late 70's and early 80's. Now, they are planning to make a live action dorama. The main star will be Ueto Aya, who will play the lead character Hiromi.

I have only seen two episodes but I am very familiar of the manga series and with the popularity of tennis anime such as "tennis no ojisama" (Prince of Tennis), I think people who enjoy sports themed drama or anime will enjoy "Ace qo Nerae!". Of course, it's a bit over the top but this drama was not meant to be taken seriously. Definitely a fun drama to watch and can't wait to see more! - KNDY
